Ersya was born and raised in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
In 2016, she graduated from Film Directing at Jakarta Institute of The Arts. Then in 2018, she fulfilled her curiosity about humans in all their historical and cultural complications to understand many different aspects of the human experience itself by taking a master's degree in Anthropology at Gadjah Mada University.
Ersya is a little lady with enormous vigor for various kinds of art forms, but nowadays her works revolve around still and moving pictures. She is an idealist with eyes keen on capturing moments and movements perfectly. Her somewhat classical aesthetic and humanist portrait is inspired by small details her observant mind captures from her mother nature.
